“It was the summer of 2010, when we were introduced to Phongsri Nilkamhaeng, a chef from Thailand who came to Saint John in 2000 with her family. It was evident right from the beginning that we shared a common passion for food. The first time we tried her dishes, it was love at first bite.” - John and Chris Likourgiotis
Phongsri was born in the northern part of Thailand. Surrounded by fields of rice, lemongrass, and papaya, she quickly developed a passion for food in her mother’s kitchen and later in her mother-in-law’s kitchen. The culmination of her own street food kiosks and various eateries on the outskirts of Bangkok, her schooling and her experiences in various establishments, have allowed her to master the flavors and aromas of Thai cooking.
